Zahid defends use of Sosma

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) has defended the use of the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act (Sosma) 2012 on certain individuals as it facilitates investigations involving national security.

Zahid, who is also the Home Minister, said Sosma was a procedural law which allowed for the use of special measures to assist probes on any acts deemed a threat to national security.
