Opposition positive over no-confidence motion

PASIR GUDANG: The Opposition is positive of achieving a majority in a no-confidence move against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, said PKR vice president Tian Chua.

Chua said that the 88 opposition MPs were ready to vote against Najib in the next parliament sitting.

"We are urging gutsy MPs from the Barisan Nasional line up to join forces and vote against Najib for the benefit of the nation,” said Chua.

He urged MPs to put their differences aside “to save the country for future generations”.

Chua added that at least 112 MPs must stand for the no-confidence motion for it to be effective.

"We can fight on out differences again in the next general election," Chua said during a kopitiam talk organised by the Opposition along Jalan Bayan 31 in Taman Megah Ria here on Saturday.
