Bootleg liquor and illegal cigs seized

JOHOR BARU: The state Customs Department has seized contraband liquor and cigarettes worth RM1.3mil involving about RM4mil in unpaid duty and taxes.

There were 44,929 bottles of whisky packed in 5,241 boxes found in four container lorries at the Customs inspection bay at the Pasir Gudang port on Sept 28, said the department’s compliance division deputy director Abu Hanipah Abdul Rahman.
