Malaysia Cup: On the alert for any violence

JOHOR BARU: The long-standing hostility between the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Perak fans is threatening to overshadow the teams’ Malaysia Cup Group B match at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh tomorrow.

The signs are already there. There is a new, fortified team bus for JDT, provocative statements on JDT fans’ Facebook pages and a warning from Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong to fans on both sides to cool it.
