POPULAR TV host Datuk Aznil Nawawi has ended a 10-year contract with Astro and is now an independent host, reported Kosmo!
Aznil, who served as Astro’s talent development division vice-president and whose contract ended on Sept 30, admitted that he missed appearing on other TV stations such as TV3 and RTM.
“I will make an official decision after discussing with Astro, when I am back in Malaysia,” said Aznil, who is currently in Melbourne, Australia, where he has been looking for new talent among Malaysian students there.

The man had scolded his wife before threatening her at 3pm yesterday at their house in Segamat.
Segamat OCPD Supt Mohd Kamil Sukarmi said the man had been arrested and remanded for four days.

In the 10pm incident, a 22-year-old woman lost her handbag and was injured after being attacked by two suspects on a motorcycle.
Kuantan deputy OCPD Supt Abdul Aziz Ahmad said a 15-year-old student had admitted that he was involved in the incident along with an accomplice, the report said.
“The student led the police to the victim’s handbag which was thrown into the bushes,” Supt Abdul Aziz was quoted as saying.
His 17-year-old accomplice was also arrested, the report said.
