Malaysia aims to phase out usage of HCFC by 2030


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia is targeting to phase out the usage of hydrocholo­rofluorocarbons (HCFC) by 2030 in the effort to protect the ozone layer, said Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Datuk Hamim Samuri.

“The thinning of the ozone layer could have serious impact on the people, animals and plants,” he said after launching the International Ozone Day 2015 here yesterday.
