MMEA nets Thai boat and one tonne haul of fish

BALIK PULAU: Authorities seized about one tonne of fish and hauled in a Thai boat for trawling in waters less than 15 nautical miles off the coast of Tanjung Gertak Sanggul here.

The trawler with five Thai fishermen was detained by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) for fishing out of its zone after it was spotted hauling in its nets at 11.4 nautical miles west off the coast.
