KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) is dependant on independent power producers (IPP) as the state utility firm is in no position to invest in new generation plants, the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry said Friday.
It said more than 1,140mW or 76% of 1,500mW of electricity generated in Sabah currently came from IPPs.
