PUTRAJAYA: The Government has set up the National Disaster Management Agency to better serve natural disaster-prone areas in the country.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim said that under the agency, small units would be deployed at the community level or the “fourth layer”, specifically at villages and housing areas that were prone to disasters such as floods.
