Thai to hang for drug trafficking

GEORGE TOWN: An unemployed Thai woman was sent to the gallows for trafficking 689.1gm of cocaine into the country by swallowing and inserting them into her private parts in plastic casings.

Judicial Commissioner Datuk Nordin Hassan sentenced Chonmanee Laphathanawat, 30, to death after finding her guilty of committing the offence between 8.45pm on Feb 13, 2013 and 12.50am on Feb 16, 2013 at the Penang Hospital.
