‘Do not politicise N-Day’

BENTONG: National Day is a day to mark the country’s independence and should not be politicised, said MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

“It is an occasion to celebrate being free from colonisation and to remember the hardships faced by our forefathers in the fight towards independence. This is a serious issue and should not be joked about,” he said at the Pahang MCA annual general meeting here yesterday.
