Bersih to IGP: Weren’t roads closed for race?

PETALING JAYA: Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih 2.0) has slammed the statements by police chief Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar who has labelled the organisers of the proposed rally on Aug 29 and 30 as “selfish” for not considering the public and traders’ rights.

Bersih 2.0 said Khalid’s suggestion that the proposed rally be held at Bukit Jalil Stadium was “comical” compared to the closures of several main roads to make way for the Kuala Lumpur City Grand Prix on Aug 7 and 8.
