281 tabla players break national record

GEORGE TOWN: Two hundred and eighty-one tabla players beat their way into the Malaysia Book of Records by playing continuously for 51.9 minutes.

The “largest and longest non-stop tabla playing event” – held at Fort Cornwallis yesterday in conjunction with Festall 2015 – beat the previous record set by 165 tabla players who played non-stop for 18 minutes in Klang in January 2012.
