BALIK PULAU: The skippers of two Indonesian boats and 10 crew members were fined a total of RM100,000 by a magistrate’s court here after they pleaded guilty to illegal fishing in Malaysian waters.
Hasrun Naser, 30, and Sapii Amirudin, 25, were fined RM10,000 each or six months’ jail in default while the crew members were fined RM8,000 each or six months’ jail in default. All failed to pay their fines.
