PETALING JAYA: The location where the Boeing 777 flaperon was found on July 29 is consistent with Australia’s defined search area, said Australian Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss.
He said the drift model used by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) confirmed that the debris found on Reunion island and other locations could have been carried there via a “progressive dispersal” action of ocean currents and wind.
