KOTA KINABALU: Abu Sayyaf militants holding two Malaysians are demanding up to RM30mil for the release of the two victims snatched from a seaside restaurant in Sandakan on May 14.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abd Rahman said negotiations for a lower amount were going on with the kidnappers, who had initially wanted RM60mil for their release.
