KLUANG: Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says he will not keep silent on issues that affect the party.

He added that people had advised him not to talk about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) as it would get him into trouble.

"It is my responsibility as a leader where even Prophet Muhammad had once said to speak out if there are any wrongdoings," he said, adding that he had been loyal to the Government and party president during his tenure as deputy prime minister.

He also said that he would continue to support party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak but would voice his views for the benefit of Umno.

Muhyiddin said this in his speech before launching the Kluang Umno division meeting held at Dewan Pekan Rabu here, Sunday.
