Police probe video slandering Negri MB

SEREMBAN: Police here opened an investigation paper on the audio recording which slandered Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

"A total of 32 police reports on the audio recording were and investigation will be carried out under section 500 of the Penal Code for slander," State CID chief ACP Nor Azman Muhammad Yusof said in a brief statement on Friday.

Mohamad has denied that the audio recording which criticised Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was his voice.

Mohamad stressed that he had nothing do to with the audio recording as well as the confession of the individual in the recording.

In the video recording lasting 1 minute 54 seconds Mohamad was said to have called on police to arrest Najib for his alleged involvement in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal. - Bernama
