PETALING JAYA: MCA has lauded the Perlis fatwa committee for issuing an edict concerning the welfare of a child, describing the move as an effort that can alleviate hardship, sufferings and trauma on a minor.
MCA religious harmony bureau chairman Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker said this was a humanitarian approach and the emphasis on justice and welfare of the child was in line with the fundamentals and spirit of all religions.
