PEKAN: Fulbright English teaching assistant Carolyn Schoen was awed by the friendliness of Malaysians at the open houses she attended.

“This is so amazing. This is my first time celebrating Aidilfitri and everyone has been so friendly and generous,” said the 23-year-old from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
