Family rescued after falling into water


KOTA TINGGI: A five-member family, including two children were rescued and rushed to the hospital after falling into the water while enjoying their picnic at a resort here. 

They were feared to have drowned during the 10.15pm incident on Sunday at Batu Layar Resort Bandar Penawar but their respective family members managed to rescue them and pull them to shore.
 
Penawar Fire and Rescue Department operation head Abd Rahman Ismail said that the victims Ibrahim Abdullah, 12, Hajirih Abdullah, 15, and Idris Basri, 22, were sent to Hospital Bandar Penawar.
 
The other two victims, who were identified as Mohd Yusri, 11, and Rashidah Jainudin, 23, have been sent to Hospital Kota Tinggi.
