KUALA LUMPUR: The team aligned to Datuk Seri G. Palanivel conducted their branch nominations on Thursday with support from 3,500 branches.
Announcing the numbers, Palanivel's appointed secretary-general Datuk S. Sothinathan claimed that this was a sign that their faction had the support of two thirds of the MIC members.
