DAP rep denies casino statement

GEORGE TOWN: A DAP assemblyman, who was criticised by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for alleging that the state government may build a casino on Penang Hill, has denied making the statement.

Tanjung Bungah assemblyman Teh Yee Cheu said he had told a Chinese daily reporter that he heard rumours that “some corporations” were not willing to give up on their plans to build a casino in the state, especially on Penang Hill and Pulau Jerejak.
