Anwar to appear in court July 27 to appoint Syarie counsel


KUALA LUMPUR: Former Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will appear in the Syariah Court on July 27 to enable him to officially appoint Syarie counsels to act on his behalf in the case brought against him by Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom and two others.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Syarie Prosecution chief Shamsuddin Hussain and Federal Territory Religious Department (Jawi) director Datuk Che Mat Che Ali have filed the application to strike out Anwar qazaf’s appeal in the Syariah Court of Appeal.
