‘Early birds’ doing the dash


Border barrier: A wall has been put up to deter people from using the route to get to Singapore. Signage have been put up to tell people not to use the illegal route.

JOHOR BARU: Some people are still making a dash across the Causeway to Singapore despite the crackdown by the Immigration Department over the last few days.

The Star observed that although there were far fewer than last week, a handful were still bypassing the Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex by sneaking across a construction site at the ground floor.
