GEORGE TOWN: It will be a bleak Hari Raya for Mariam Che Mat this year after her house in Jalan P. Ramlee here was razed to the ground in an afternoon fire.
The 67-year-old housewife lost every-thing including her family’s new clothes and decorations for the festive season.“It’s all gone. All our preparation for Hari Raya is gone,” said a sad Mariam at the scene yesterday.
