GEORGE TOWN: Undercover policemen went to a karaoke joint in Pulau Tikus on the pretext of having a drink. After making sure the coast was clear, they signalled for the raiding team to storm the outlet.

Skimpily dressed Chinese nationals and Vietnamese who were working as guest relation officers ran helter-skelter during Thursday’s Ops Noda. Some even removed their high heels to flee but to no avail.

Penang CID Chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad said 33 Chinese nationals and three Vietnamese aged between 20 and 30 were rounded up.

“We believe the foreign women have violated their social visit passes. We also arrested three local men who were in charge of the outlet,” he said.
