PETALING JAYA: It is disappointing that Buddhism, a religion that preaches tolerance and compassion, is now the cause of violence in places like Myanmar and Sri Lanka, says Ven Datuk Dr Sumana Siri.
He said Buddhism called on its faithful to practise tolerance, regardless of the situation.
