KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak described the late Tan Sri Thong Yaw Hong as an exemplary civil servant. 

The co-chairman of Public Bank Bhd and former government treasurer-general passed away peacefully on Thursday following a period of illness. He was 85.
