GOPENG: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir described Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as a leader who is very responsive to the people’s problems.

He said the Prime Minister would not hesitate to approve immediate allocations to solve the people’s problems.

“Every time I go to him with matters that are not in the state’s budget he will ask ‘are they for the people’?

“His response will be ‘we do for the people and I approve for the people’.

“This is the quality of the prime minister that we have,” he said while expressing the undivided support of people in the state for Najib during his visit to the Gopeng Rural Transformation Centre yesterday.

Zambry said Najib needed the support of all to carry out his duties including realising the agenda to make Malaysia a developed nation.

“Every leader has problems and let us pray together that all problems facing the Prime Minister can be resolved amicably,” he added.

In Batu Pahat, Umno supreme council member Datuk Abdul Aziz Kaprawi said those who made “uncalled for remarks” against Najib were provoking party members to go against him.

“I believe the party’s leaders are genuine in their fight for a good cause and we must keep things together for the party,” he said after launching the Batu Pahat Wanita Ikram annual general meeting.

Abdul Aziz said the Government was working to resolve issues such as the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and Tabung Haji land deal.

Abdul Aziz also reminded Muslims not to forget the good deeds done by Tabung Haji for them, including providing RM7,000 in subsidies per person to perform their pilgrimage to Mecca each year.

“Tabung Haji was merely trying to invest in a piece of land to earn more income for the benefit of its contributors, but since the people disagree, the fund had to sell it,” he said.
