THE Attorney-General has been galvanised into amending the Road Transport Act 1987 to make it mandatory for children to be placed in safety seats in vehicles which is most welcome news. However, the devil, as they say, is in the details.
And details there are many when it comes to ensuring children travel safely on the roads. Statistically, there isn’t much to show in terms of fatalities or injuries.
