ALOR SETAR: Police have beefed up patrols along the Malaysia-Thailand border following the exhumation of 26 bodies, believed to be victims of human trafficking, just hundreds of metres away in southern Thailand.
Kedah police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Zamri Yahya said they identified several “laluan tikus (rat lanes)”, where the fencing along the border was cut for illegal items to be smuggled and for human trafficking activities.
