MRT2 report open for public viewing

PETALING JAYA: The environmental impact assessment (DEIA) for the proposed alignment of the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) MRT line, also known as MRT2, is now open for public comment until May 19.

“The report will be on the websites of Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT Corp) and the Environment Department (DOE), as well as at 27 locations, including all DOE offices,” said Raja Nur Ashikin Raja Zainal, director of ERE Consulting Group. ERE Consulting has been appointed by MRT Corp to evaluate the impact of the SSP line on its surroundings so mitigation measures can be implemented once construction of the 52km line begins by the middle of next year.
