Rais backs proposal for lawmakers to be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia


KUALA LUMPUR: A proposal to make it a condition for individuals who wish to become elected representatives to be fluent in Bahasa Melayu and obtain a credit in the subject in the SPM examination should be supported, said Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim (pic).

"If this can be made a condition, it's very good. It will be something that we should follow for the sake of our beloved country.
