KOTA KINABALU: A Sabahan family managed to escape the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal, but are stranded outdoors and unable to return to a resort they were holidaying in near Kathmandu.

The family of seven, including three children, have to remain where they are at the Gokarna Forest Resort, about 14km from Kathmandu due to the possibility of strong aftershocks, a family member Afeiza Khan said here Saturday.
