GEORGE TOWN: A landscape assistant was sentenced to four years’ jail with a stroke of the rotan after pleading guilty to robbery.

P. Jayadevan, 31, (pic) and another individual S. Suresh, 35, were charged at a Sessions Court with robbing Hoo Sook Hua, 33, in Lorong Aman, Pulau Tikus, on Aug 11, 2013 of a handbag containing RM14, a karaoke card, a retail shop’s privilege card, and a Digi sim card.
