KUALA LUMPUR: The search area in the southern Indian Ocean for missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 will be extended by another 60,000 sq km if the Boeing 777 is not found in the current search area by May.
The expanded search will begin immediately after the first phase is completed, said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
