Lim: I was not being malicious or sarcastic


GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng denied that he was being malicious and sarcastic when he apologised to Penang Opposition Leader Datuk Jahara Hamid for using the word ‘grandmother’ when he called her a ‘racist grandmother’.

Lim, who was testifying in Jahara’s defamation suit against him, told a High Court here that he had apologised to her for using the word ‘grandmother’ within 24 hours after making the remark at a press conference on Dec 9, 2013.
