MPs observed a minute’s silence for their colleague Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis, who was killed in a helicopter crash in Semenyih, Kajang.

Jamaluddin had been MP for Rompin since 1990. He had also been chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and Backbenchers’ Club.

“His death is a big loss to the country,” said Deputy Speaker Datuk Ismail Mohamed Said at the start of the sitting.
