MCMC working with police to curb IS videos from spreading

HULU TERENGGANU: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has always cooperated with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to curb the spread of videos by the so-called Islamic State (IS) that became viral on social media websites, says Deputy Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Jailani Johari.

“Usually when there are IS-related videos and other videos that should not be disseminated are being spread, MCMC will take appropriate action if there is a request from the police to block any website and this matter is not new.
