Black attire rebuke puts Perak state assembly in chaos

In debating the Royal address, Perak Barisan Nasional Backbenchers’ Club chairman Datuk Mohd Khusairi Abdul Talib (pic) accused the assemblymen of disrespecting His Royal Highness who was opening the meeting for the first time as the Perak Sultan.

Among the four issues that led to the assemblymen wearing black on Tuesday were the jailing of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Goods and Services Tax and the arrests of Pakatan Rakyat politicians.
