Narrow escape for Sabah assistant minister after car catches fire


State assistant minister to chief minister Datuk Edward Yong Oui Fah and his driver managed to flee their Volvo car which caught fire after it collided with a 20-seater bus along Jala Tuaran by-pass in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday morning.

KOTA KINABALU: A state assistant minister to the chief minister escaped unhurt after his car burst into flames following a collision with a 20-seater bus at the Jalan Tuaran by-pass here.

Datuk Edward Yong Oui Fah Yong and his driver rushed out of the government-issued Volvo that caught fire immediately after colliding with the bus that was apparently coming out of a junction at about 9am Saturday.
