Wee: Educate and not penalise traders

KUALA LUMPUR: Traders should be educated, not punished, at least for the first two years after the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

He said there should not be forceful coercion in implementing GST, adding that there were bound to be some “hiccups” in the beginning.
