JOHOR BARU: A carnival-like atmosphere was in the air as thousands thronged the streets to witness the pomp and pageantry of the state’s historic coronation ceremony.

They waved the state’s flag and shouted “Daulat Tuanku” as the motorcade ferrying Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah traversed major roads after the ceremony.
