Perak DAP reps forfeit salaries in solidarity with jailed protesters

KUALA LUMPUR: Perak DAP MPs and assemblymen will be forfeiting a portion of their March salary in solidarity with the 13 individuals who were jailed and fined for protesting against the swearing in of Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir as Perak Mentri Besar.

"All six Members of Parliament and 18 Perak DAP assemblymen have made a unanimous decision and will be handing over a salary cut of RM18,000 as a donation to the families of the protesters," said Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming (pic) at a press conference at Parliament lobby on Tuesday.
