KUALA LUMPUR: Police are planning to form a new unit to curb drug smuggling activities involving international and local drug trafficking syndicates at the Malaysia-Thai border.
The proposed unit called the Narcotic Border Suppression Unit (NBSU) would increase surveillance on drug trafficking activities at the border area, said Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department deputy director 2 Deputy Comm Datuk Awang Sahari E. M. Nadzeer.
