Immigration officer gets 10 years for causing death of grandmother in amok attack

IPOH: An immigration officer was sentenced to 10 years in jail after pleading guilty to an alternative charge under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code for causing the death of his grandmother in Gunung Rapat two years ago.

Ipoh High Court judge Judicial Commissioner Noorin Badaruddin said Mohammad Khairul Anuar Najhib, 31, had committed manslaughter of Noorsiah Marshidi at her home in Gunung Rapat on October 25, 2013 at about 5.30pm.
