Lawyers demand Bar Council censure MPs over motion on judiciary

KUALA LUMPUR: A group of lawyers dubbed G100 has demanded the Bar Council break its silence and censure certain members of Parliament over “damaging remarks” made about the judiciary.

One of the group’s members, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, said the Bar Council was responsible for defending the sanctity of the judicial system from being ridiculed by others.
