MALACCA: A mother, Kamsiah Husin, 53, never expected the fever her daughter was suffering from for more than a month last year was due to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease.
Kamsiah said the disease was diagnosed after doctors performed a lumbar puncture procedure on Nurul Natasya Nayan, 17, to do a spinal fluid test due to prolonged high fever.
