MH370: ICAO extends sympathies to families of passengers and crew

SINGAPORE: The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has extended its continued sympathies to the families of the passengers and crew of the crashed Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370.

In a statement issued on Saturday, ICAO said that while 2014 was one of aviation’s safest years looking at how few accidents took place, the crashes of MH370 and MH17 identified some important gaps which can arise under rare operational circumstances.
